The URL Is Dead, Long Live Search →
Very interesting. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around how effective placing a dot-com at the end of a TV spot actually is. It’s eye-opening to see that so many people actually search domain names rather than typing them into their address bar.

Frustration in the mobile web world abounds. I wouldn’t say that the mobile web is dead, it just needs better browsers (ala iPhone).

Ouch…I was a little bit afraid of this. Let’s hope they loosen up a bit or I’m going to have to jailbreak my iPod Touch again.

Let's Get Physical - Article praising hrp.com →
Great article giving mad props to Publicis & Hal Riney for their innovative navigation on their site. Personally, when I first saw what they did, I couldn’t help but think to myself that I was catching a glimpse of our future, in some way or another. Visit hrp.com at some point, especially if you have a web cam.

Now that the SDK has been released, I’m anxiously awaiting apps to arrive. This article opened up my mind to what truly could be possible and why I believe that the mobile market is at it’s infancy stage right now. I think it’s going to be huge, and the iPhone is putting it all in motion.

New search engine…community that allows anyone to contribute…create their own vertical search engines. Seriously though? I have a hard time believing that anyone is going to abandon Google to do their web searching.

Touch screen, good web browser, Google street-view. Very interesting…seems to be inspired by the iPhone quite a bit. Sad to not see the double-tap zoom function in the web browser.

Reviews are coming in. Here’s one from Walter Mossberg of the WSJ. Pretty positive, especially of the web browser and email program. Word on the street, though, is that the browser doesn’t support Flash. That’s a bummer.
